Knowing that the most important things APSCO offers aren't manufactured, the company is constantly looking for ways to provide its customers with more responsive service, greater insight and a broader base of electronics manufacturing knowledge. To that end, APSCO has initiated an aggressive program to help its employees secure higher level job certifications - with the ultimate goal of improving customer offerings.
As such, APSCO is proud to announce the recent certification of two key members of its staff: Bruce Hurd as a National Instrument's Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) and Ron Bryan as a Certified EMS Program Manager (CEPM).
As an official card-carrying CLAD, Bruce Hurd has successfully completed a comprehensive series of exams validating his foundational knowledge and skill level to develop and maintain LabVIEW applications. Specifically, Hurd was tested on his knowledge of LabVIEW programming principles and its environment, data types, software constructs and GUI elements, simple design patterns, SubVI and VI design, error handling and debugging techniques. With his certification, Hurd is now part of an elite crowd within the electronic services industry that includes only one other Ohio member.
Ron Bryan has also been recently certified as a CEPM after completing a four-part training course sponsored by the IPC Association Connecting Electronics Industries and the IPC EMS Council. Covering such diverse issues as operations management, finance management, contract management, time management and leadership skills for EMS Program Managers, the IPC training course has enabled Bryan to expand his skill set relative to program management. Impressed with the results of this program, APSCO will require all Program Managers to receive CEPM certification. All of which provides even greater benefits to APSCO's customers through more reliable documentation, more detailed tracking and a broader understanding of the role of today's multi-faceted EMS Program Manager.
